The guard above the rotor is placed inside the upper rotor housing (not in TP 100).

The guard ensures that the material that enters the wood chipper passes the blades before its exit.

With the installation of the guard, you are sure to get a very uniform chip quality, perfect for heating purposes.

However, if there are no requirements to the chip quality the guard should be removed due to the energy consumption of the machine.
